I must admit that the Mallards are probably
the least interesting ducks that I get to observe ...
very cautious and kind of boring :(

and what can you say?  The male Wood duck is
just so striking!  I just need them to get a little more
comfortable in here so that they get more active!

And yes!  I do still get my

Today's prompt was fill the frame with a collection ...
well, it was almost impossible to choose just which collection
was going to fill the frame, but went with this ...
a sampling of hats that I've been collecting, primarily
for photography/dress up with grandchildren.  Trouble is, once you start ...

And then ... there's the life at the pond! 
It's been a seriously ADDICTIVE and amazing experience!
I get pretty sad when I've spent multiple stints out in a day and
don't get a sighting! But today was particularly exciting!
Not only had two pairs of Wood ducks at the same time,
then along came a Merganser yet too!  Had not seen one of those at all till today!

walk towards the pond after a longer quiet period and I was hoping to get him in take-off ...

Had some fun at the pond today ...
made myself a little blind to hide out in so that I could capture
this stuff ...

This was a lot of fun!  Had to fight some cramping
in my feet and shoulders crammed into that box but it was worth it!

The girls ... had lots of fun
with all the 'cycles' out tonight  :)
