June 30 - Bird River sights

Early morning kayaker taking her dog for a cruise

Heading out to try to find some fish this morning

Some of us got lucky ... others,
not so much!

While Conrad & I paddled around in the bay on the paddleboat,
came upon this girl ... wanting to jump into the water,
but not getting a cast on her right arm wet.  She did it!

A very keen canoeist at Bird River tonight

Getting ready for wiener roast and smores!

For lack of anything better to shoot today ...
my go to subject.  A little uninspired
this week.

Equally as interesting a sky this morning as last night.

This boy does love to steal bases ... managed another safe one.

Sherry & Stehen's Ultimate Night

Rather interesting looking sunset on the drive home

I am just in awe of all the rose buds
that keep appearing on my bush.

One of my abundant lilies in bloom

This little wren was not happy about my presence
and made certain I knew about it! Wow! that little thing
can make a lot of noise!

My lilies are overpopulating!

One last bike ride before heading home.

The beautiful baby quilt that Sheila and girls
made for Thea

Trying to get this family to take a
group picture is quite a challenge!

Thea slept through the whole thing!

The last effort!

Beautiful morning to
have breakfast outside.

Some of the breakfast fixings.

Hmmm ... maybe 'shopped till they dropped?"
Actually, it was such a beautiful afternoon, we all
lay down out on the grass for a snooze.

Found the sky very interesting on our drive south today.

Enjoying supper with Don & Grace

A pontoon came boating down the Red River

Grace had some fun before making smores

Not sure, but think there's some weather-related
theory or tale about bubbles formed when it's raining ...

The rather ominous-looking skies as I drove
home from work today.
Was blessed to be able to hold our
precious granddaughter today again!

Clustered bell flower ... love them
but hate them!

When you watch these guys around a cluster of flowers
for awhile, you certainly understand where the expression
'Busy as a bee' came from!

This is kind of a test ...
who will outlast who here?

After the storm.

Blue skies coming for tomorrow?

supposed to be my back's best friend ...

So ... was all settled in ... just deciding ... exercise (not!), watch a movie,
or lie back and read my book?   My conscience called ...
Conrad was out pulling weeds in my flower bed,
so figured I'd better get out there and help him instead.

But a little later ... the western sky beckoned me to go for a ride.

And the windmills called too ... was hoping for
something more, but can't be lucky all the time.

Sherry trying to get in a little reading
time before her busy week.
Wouldn't it be cool to have
this in town?  I can't
help but smile whenever I see this.

The roses on our yard are just beautiful and so plentiful
right now ... perfect subjects, particularly in the
sun and after a little shower.

The day started out with a beautiful drizzle ...
perfect for a lazy morning of reading and drinking coffee.

The sun was bright by suppertime.
Conrad took this picture of me getting potatoes
ready for supper.

Sherry & Stephen joined us for night.
Decided the tent was a better alternative
than our very uncomfortable couch in the camper.
