I was pretty excited this morning ...
our pond is almost full!  Just might
attract a few ducks back there again!

Suzanne & I found Melanie and Malo
out west just into the hills this
morning.  She came back with us
to town for the day to recharge, rest
and regroup after a couple of tough
days on the trail

We had the pleasure of hosting this gal, Mel, from Germany
on her hike across the Trans Canada Trail, as she passed through our
community.  Malo, her new companion, found her a few days ago
and wouldn't leave her side

Plus, I got my camera on this doll ...

Couldn't believe the difference in landscape
from half an hour before we hit Sioux Falls last night
to half an hour north this morning ...

We hit a stretch of landscape that was
totally ice encased!

And lots of snow again :(

Got home, emptied the truck,
found my runners and hit the road ...
back to reality I guess

March 17 ... Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota

Conrad actually WOKE ME UP this am!
Told me "If you want to get to Sioux Falls tonite,
we have to get going!'  That was a first for us!
This was the before sunrise view on our drive out of Dalhart, Tx.

Had to do some quick thinking using Google Maps
to get back onto the I-29 without detouring 5 hours around.
