Went on my first successful owl hunt today!

Fun times at the Red River
in today's beautiful weather

Trying to capture the flying snow against the setting sun ...
doesn't work out so well when we are travelling 100+ kph
in the opposite direction of the plow 

Stayed with these guys for a few minutes
while the parents went to their first pt interview ...
and convinced Ben to stand really still to try to catch this

Not so sure if I'm that thankful for the snow,
but certainly for the fact that I'm still able to get out
and clear some of it on my own.

This is a really tough time of year for me
to be motivated in the photography area.
Everything is so dull and brown.
I went out on a drive with my big lens
to try to hunt down an owl or eagle but
was almost home when I decided I better snap something!
